The Locals - TF2 animated shortHere's a little short film I helped animate for my pal, Ben.This pretty special~ http://youtu.be/IyZtXRNy5yYAlso, PCBC is over, sadly. I, and many others, loved it so.I have to agree with the crit I've recieved from the judges, there are so many things that I need to improve on and their constant feedback is always appreciated!I can safetly say that there has been major improvements in my grammar and some anatomy, thought they can still be pushed further.Though, I was kind of sad that MikeMoroney couldn't fully finish his entry. This was the last round so I was kind of hoping they'd extend it again for him, but alas. But yes, it was fun.See you in IPL!But for now, back to contracts and comissions!
Time for a GOTF "Casting Call"!Hi everybody!I have a treat for you all today; I need cameos of YOUR Sonic fancharacters for a very special GOTF story I'm working on! It's a gift for you all, so what better way to make it special besides letting my readers play a role?If you'd like a chance to see your characters in the comic, all you need to do is post a comment on this journal with a link to an image of your character. There are some do's and don'ts though, because of the nature of the comic/scene:DO'S:-Give me characters with winter outfits! This is a Christmas-themed story. If your character dosen't have one that's okay, I'll probably modify their existing costume.-Couples, teams, and families are great!-Humans are GREAT, and so are Anthros or humans with tails/animal ears. If you have a photo of yourself, that's a valid entry. I might draw a likeness of you into the comic! (I still want Sonic OCs though, of course)-Color images are preferable!DON'TS:-No mythical creatures-No main character l

UPDATE: SOPA is NOT the real enemy, PROTECT-IP is!Now no longer tl;dr!I have just heard very important news that the Stop Online Piracy Act bill is not the biggest threat. It is a distraction made so that even if it fails (which it most likely will,) there is a good chance that PROTECT-IP will still pass, because the majority of us activists have focused only on SOPA, and do not know the true motives behind the bill. It is an unethical and disgusting choice for them to create a distraction this way, fighting dirty so that their TRUE bill, PROTECT-IP does pass! Remember everyone, we must fight both bills, though I recommend focusing now especially on fighting PROTECT-IP.It will most likely be PROTECT-IP that would shut down this site, Youtube, Facebook and possibly even Google itself. The results would be disastrous and I urge you all to take immediate action! Our internet is at stake, and I was foolish to think SOPA was the only major threat. I have only learned the truth this morning
Inferus species specifications and more. This is the list of several specifications and facts about my Sci-Fi Slenderverse headcannon called 'Inferus'where Slender and his brothers are aliens from a distant solar system:iconhalf-rose: is the creator of the headcannon.:iconagentmaryland93: is the co-creator, always giving great ideas for designs.____________________________________________________________________________________Blood types Blood classes/types are what highly differentiates each 'race' of Inferus. Just like we humans have different facial or physical differences from different countries, so does Inferus, although, by historial blending, the 'races' got mixed in every part of their globe. Differently from Humans, Blood types are not only a way to differentiate the appearance, but also their legit blood types.Pure-Blood: Inferus born, considered to have a 'clean' blood, they have no lips, stead they have their teeth which is covered by a thin yet really resistant skin th
Late Lesson LearnedWhile doing research for the new SYAC, I actually stumbled upon something truthful on TVtropes.org. Usually I take everything from that site with a grain of salt, but this one bit actually was surprisingly honest and truthful about webcomics:Webcomics work on a very different set of standards than other fiction. Almost all webcomic authors are working pretty much entirely alone as they both draw and script their comics and most do not plan any further along than to the end of their current story sometimes not even that far. Many of them try to adhere to a schedule they aren't really capable of meeting, resulting in them rushing to meet their deadline and making mistakes that should be avoidable. So many of the good 10% lack qualities standard in traditionally professional works. This can be because of the lack of editorial input as well as the lack of lead time. Not all webcomics suffer from this, though, and even the ones that do can still be interesting. Arguably, some str
Just Gotta LaughWhelp, I was driving along a couple of days ago--I just reached a bridge about a mile-ish long, and I noticed blue-white smoke gushing from under my car hood. The check engine light was on. After a moment of panic, I pulled over to the side of the bridge and called my dad--he told me to limp my car across the bridge and try to park in a parking lot. I agreed and worriedly got my car to sputter along.Longest bridge I've driven in my life. After some smoke and worry later, my car made it off the bridge to an exit---then it slowly started seizing up, fading and dying, then sputtered to a stop---right past a traffic light, stuck in one of the two traffic lanes. I was about ready to cry---a car problem like this had never happened to me before. Thankfully, after some stressful moments, three people offered to help push my car out of the lane and into a parking lot--success, which I was amazingly relieved over.A tow truck-drive and a day later, turns out my car's radiator had kind of explo
Proving your Geek CreedNerds all share a unified experience of being socially ostracized from the rest of other so-called "normal" societal groups. The reasons may vary (not being good at sports, liking a certain sci-fi/fantasy TV show, etc), but the fact that we all were picked upon and marginalized during our most formable years is a major part of the nerd/geek identity. But in recent years nerd culture stopped being it's own niche thing, and has started to seep into mainstream culture. Making nerd culture more accessible has naturally brought with it a new group of people and fans into our sphere... and not everyone is happy about this development.Personally I think it's great that nerd culture has become so widely accepted lately. I can freely have a discussion about my favorite DC or Marvel superheros in public without getting looks of disgust or incredulity because EVERYONE loves Batman and The Avengers. And if I make an obscure joke about Doctor Who, there's a LOT of people who will get it now. But l
Censoring the InternetA few weeks ago I made mention of feminist Anita Sarkeesian who started a kickstarter for a web series called "Tropes Vs Women" specifically centered around how women are portrayed in video games.Despite the fact that kickstarters are payed for by people who've made the decision they want to contribute their money to the project, Anita came under attack from gamers for "scamming" audiences when her fund far exceeded the target goal. Just this past week it's come out that a 25 year old man from Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, Canada, created a video game where the object is to punch the crap out of Anita. Wounds, bruises, and blood gush out the more you beat her up in this virtual game, and it's drawn some widespread attention.Whether you agree with her viewpoint is not the issue, it's the fact that this retaliation is just "wrong" on so many levels. Do these people realize that what they're doing is shooting themselves in the foot? Making a video game where you beat up someone who's making
